Requesting Items from other Sites

As of Monday 29th March 2021, Durham University members will be able to request access to items held in Ushaw College Divines Library.

To request an item, use Discover or the Library catalogue to find the item you require and scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will find a links to the following services:

  • Request an item from Divines Library to collect from Bill Bryson Library - available to staff and students currently in Durham. You will then need to book a Browse and Borrow or Stay and Study timeslot to collect your item(s).
  • Scan and Deliver – available to all current University members who are not currently residing in Durham
  • Postal loans – available to final year undergraduate, PGR and PGT students and academic staff who are not currently residing in Durham

This will direct you to the request form, automatically filling in the details of the item.

There is no charge for this service and you will be notified by email when the requested item is available for you to collect from Bill Bryson Library. Deliveries will be made once a week (Wednesdays) and the service may be slower than usual, due to the restricted postal service.
