University Library

Adding to Research Collections

Durham University spends around £4million each year to provide you with access to high quality digital and physical resources across a broad range of subject areas. Each year, Durham users download over 6 million journal articles and e-books through our subscriptions, and make over 1 million visits to one of our buildings to borrow over 500,000 items from our shelves.

But despite this, and despite funder, government and university initiatives to increase the access to scholarly literature, our collections may not include everything you may need to access.

If you are planning research in an area and find that we do not have the resources available to support this activity, please contact your department's Academic Liaison Librarian, to discuss your needs. Your Academic Liaison Librarian, and your departmental library rep, can be found on our subject pages.
