Researchers' Study Area

This page gives information about different types of study space available to research postgraduates (PGRs) at our library sites.

Bill Bryson Library

PGR Studyroom

There is a PGR study room on level 4 of the Bill Bryson Library. This room is only accessible to research postgraduate students (and library staff), and is accessed using your Durham University Campus Card

The room has:

  • A mixture of single and collaborative study spaces
  • An informal area for discussion and/or socialisation
  • Some papers/magazines
  • 8 PCs
  • Wireless access
  • Plug sockets and network points around the perimeter of the room
  • Information on how the library can support your research
  • Shelves to store your belongings
  • Books on the research process and conducting your PhD
