Requesting Additions to Research Collections

This page provides guidance on how you can recommedn or request new items of stock are added to collections, and how to track if and when these might become available.

Requesting new Library Resources

Departments are responsible for letting the library know which books to buy or which journals we should subscribe to. Requests should be sent via the appropriate departmental library representative.

Keeping track of new purchases

You can keep up to date with new items purchased by departments using the New Books RSS feeds provided by the Library, or by setting up a search alert on the library catalogue for any newly added results matching a combination of keywords of your selection. Further information can be found on our Keeping up to date: Books pages.

New collections and trials

You can view what new resources we have available on trial by checking our Trial e-resources pages. You will need your Durham CIS username and password to access this page.
