Open Access Publisher Deals

University researchers choosing to publish their articles through the Gold route to Open Access may be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC). We have signed up to a number of open access schemes with publishers and these give Durham University-affiliated authors a range of discounts on gold open access charges. Some of these are available for all Durham researchers to take advantage of, whilst others are limited to those with funding from one of the UK Research Councils who request payment of their APCs though the Library’s Open Access Team.

Deals available to all Durham authors

The following deals are available to all Durham authors to help reduce the costs of Gold open access. If you have any questions about any of the following deals, please contact openaccess.publishing@durham.ac.uk.

Please note, these deals do not endorse any particular publisher or attempt to influence author choice. They have been arranged based on the publishing activity of Durham researchers in combination with financial considerations, and are designed to support innovation in Open Access publishing.
