6.3.3: Appointment of Examiners
1. Annually the Academic Office will request information from heads of departments/schools for the appointment of examiners:
a. Student Registry will request information for all internal examiners;
b. the Academic Support Office will request information on all external examiners.
2. Once approved, the membership of a board will continue until the end of November of the following academic year.
3. Student Registry forward a copy of the previous Board of Examiners membership which should be updated to reflect the new membership. This should then be returned to Student Planning and Assessment who will obtain faculty approval.
4. Once approved by the Chair of the relevant Faculty Education Committee. The approved lists will be reported to Senate. (See Section 6.3.2 for a definition of the categories of internal examiners.)
