5.3.1 Policy Statement on obtaining and using student feedback

1. The University's Principles for Student Engagement embody the commitment of both the University's staff and students to gather, consider and act on feedback from students in order to develop and enhance the educational experience of students. This directly supports the University's strategic aim of achieving the highest quality and standards in its educational provision.

2. Fundamental to meeting this commitment is reflective and open dialogue between staff and students, which leads to clear responses to the issues identified and where appropriate actions to address these issues. This policy statement, when taken together with the policy statements on the student representative system and the role of students in quality management, provides a University framework to ensure that this takes place.
