1. Boards of Studies

Responsibility for the monitoring of the academic progress of individual students on programmes lies with a Board of Studies. (Standing Orders of Boards of Studies)  

2. Periodic Review Teams

It is the responsibility of Periodic Review Teams, reporting to Education Committee (via the Periodic Review and Accreditation Panel [PRAP] and the Quality and Standards Sub-Committee), to provide central monitoring of the systems used by Boards of Studies to support and monitor a student's academic progress and examination performance and inform students about their progress.

3. Education Committee (EC)

Education Committee is responsible for the formulation of University policy in respect of student support and progress and for providing guidance in this area to Boards of Studies and Periodic Review Teams. The Committee is specifically responsible, in relation to  concessions, for scrutinising the data provided by Faculties for particular anomalies and trends and where appropriate for bringing these to the attention of Senate.
