Learning and Teaching Handbook

2.1.1: Registration

  1. Registration should be regarded by all concerned as an important academic commitment.

  2. Departments will give students advice and guidance about which modules to register for.

  3. First year students are required to register by the end of the first teaching week of their term at the University. Students who are progressing to the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of study are normally expected to register at the end of their previous academic year at the notified time.

  4. Students who are unable to register at the notified time should request permission from departments where they wish to take modules to be allowed to register at a different time.

  5. Students who fail to register before the deadlines are liable to pay an administration charge.
