The Application Process for KTP

As with all grants, there are application forms to complete and this should be done jointly by the company and university partners.

The application process is in two parts.

  1. The Expression of Interest (EoI) is a short summary of the project and should be approved before the full application is submitted.  This secures a sponsor, and therefore funding in principle, for each KTP.
  2. The full proposal and grant application is a more detailed description of the project and partners.  Information from the EoI can be used in part to complete the full form.

The above forms change from time to time and the Head of Business Partnerships can advise on latest versions

The KTP Team can co-ordinate this process and ensure that the appropriate deadline is met. There are eight submission deadlines throughout the year so partnerships are not limited to academic year start times.

As part of the process the company will be visited by the regional KTP Advisor. It is the Advisor's role to ensure at an early stage that the KTP is feasible and then to support the partnership from application to final report.
