Research Writer and Dissemination Officer required

(19 November 2009)

The Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience wishes to appoint a Research Writer and Dissemination Officer.

The postholder will assist the Institute in (1) translating its research activities into publications and other media that will impact upon a range of different communities; and (2) delivering a dissemination strategy that can make best use of the resources that the Officer is involved in producing. The Officer will be based in the Institute and report directly to the Executive Director of the Institute but will be expected to liaise closely with the University’s Communications Office, including its press office. Approximately 50% of the Officer’s time will be spent on activities to support the Leverhulme Programme Grant Tipping Points: mathematics, metaphors and meanings. The post is full-time for five years. For further details please see https://jobs.dur.ac.uk/
