Collingwood College

Collingwood College Fellowships, instituted by the Governing Body of the College are tenable for one, two or three terms and are intended to help people wishing to conduct research at Durham.

They offer accommodation in College with full board but provide no stipend or help with expenses. There is no restriction as to subject area or discipline, although the College intends that the Fellowships will assist those wishing to work with scholars or other resources available at the University. Holders of the Fellowships will be expected to take an active part in the life of the College and its SCR, and to give a talk, open to all members of the College and the University, about their work at Durham. Any Fellow appointed for three terms would be expected to take up the role of College Tutor for the period of their stay.

Applicants will have to produce coherent and achievable research proposals. Schoolteachers on leave are welcome to apply.

The accommodation provided for Fellows will be in either a small flat (self-catering) or a large room (with full board); the former is available both for single and married Fellows, but is unlikely to be suitable for children.
