Evidence on Trial: public lecture series

Each year the IAS organises a public lecture series relating to the Institute’s research theme, aiming to deliver an exciting and stimulating series drawing a wide range of speakers and researchers to Durham and encouraging wider public engagement with the work and ideas emerging from the IAS.

This year’s IAS series will offer insights into Evidence from a range of disciplinary perspectives. Speakers in the series include philosopher Professor Nancy Cartwright; anthropologist Professor Matthew Engelke; physicist Professor Dame Athene Donald; archaeologist Professor Michael Tite; chemist Professor Dame Julia Higgins; and physicist Professor Michael Rowan-Robinson among others.

These lectures are free and open to all. For further information contact the IAS (enquiries.ias@durham.ac.uk). Details, dates and times of these lectures will appear in the IAS programme and on the IAS website (www.dur.ac.uk/ias/events/events_listings/) in due course.
