Hybrid Working in Professional Services Information Hub

Manager development sessions to support Hybrid Working

There are unique challenges that come with Leading/Managing a successful hybrid team. The University principles, guidance and tools are designed to help each department, and team within it, to adopt an approach that fits to their specific requirements. The following development opportunities are also being offered to help support Leaders and Managers to move to hybrid working, details below.

Target Audience: Operational Leaders and Managers

(To maximise the number of areas represented in these sessions we would ask that no Department sends more than two Operational Managers to each session)

Outcome: This session will provide managers with the opportunity to work with colleagues on interpreting the guiding principles and toolkit so that they can apply them within their own context.

Timing: 2 hours

Dates of Sessions: Please note these sessions are targeted at related role type groups eg College PS, Central Services PS and Faculty PS, details below.

College PS - 22nd June 15:00 - 17:00 OR 1st July 14:00 - 16:00

Target Audience: Operational Managers

Outcome: Using a change management approach, and drawing on principles of project management this session will assist managers to identify approaches to put in place to lead people through the change of moving to new hybrid ways of working.

Timing: 2.5 hours

Target Audience: Operational Leaders and Managers

Outcome: To equip managers with an appreciation of the benefits of having wellbeing conversations, provide a practical structured approach to managing the interaction, and recognise what sign-posting and/or referral may most be appropriate.

Timing : 90 minuntes.

Outcome: To cover ways of addressing sensitive subject matters. It briefly reflects on conflict at work and individual styles to address conflict.

Outcome: To enable Managers to use the Colleague Conversation Compass as a framework of key conversations points, by which to navigate through individual experiences, selecting the focus of interactions to deliver a tailored co-created approach.
