Coaching and Mentoring Network
Introduction
These meetings are designed to provide those members of staff who are currently mentoring or coaching colleagues or who wish to be involved in such an activity, to meet together on a termly basis to share ideas and enhance their skills.
Meeting structure
At each meeting we are joined by an external coach, Shona Garner who leads us through a particular topic relevant to the coaching and mentoring theme eg providing feedback, developing the underperformer, coaching teams. This forms the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) element of the programme.
The network members then break into Action Learning Sets, a form of peer support/ supervision, to assist one another with any coaching or mentoring issues that they are contending with.
Membership of the network is fluid, there is no requirement to attend all sessions, however there is an opportunity for those who wish to expand their coaching and mentoring skills to join the coaching and network framework and participate in a more comprehensive training programme. Further details can be gained from the HR Training team
