3 Day First Aid Course

This qualification is ideal for those already working, or preparing to work, within industry who wish to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purpose of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Course Duration

3-day training course (09:00 to 16:00 hours).

Course Content

Role and Responsibilities of the First Aider, Incident Management, Casualty Head to Toe Survey, Manage an Unresponsive Casualty, Assist a Choking Casualty, CPR, Minor Injuries, Major Illnesses, Head and Chest Injuries, Suspected Spinal Injuries, Burns and Scalds and Sudden Poisoning.

Course Assessment

The qualification is assessed by practical demonstration/assignment and oral questioning.

Course Qualification

The qualification is valid for 3 years and, in order to re-qualify, learners must be assessed against all learning outcomes and assessment criteria within the qualification. Requalification is over 2-days.

As you will need to participate in a practical assessment please wear suitable clothing.
