You can book first aid training via the training booking system under the category ‘First Aid’.
Yes, your manager must confirm that you can attend by providing an authority form prior to the training. A risk assessment would have been carried out in the department to determine the number of first aiders.
Your qualification will last 3 years, to continue as a First Aider you are required to receive authority from your Manager to attend a 2 day refresher course within the time restrictions.
For time restrictions please refer to the 2 Day First Aid Refresher Course.
If your qualification is due to expire and you would like to continue as a First Aider you will need to attend a course no earlier than 90 days prior to your certificate expiry date and 28 days after.
You can locate your expiry date on your First Aid card or certificate.
If your training has lapsed and providing you have authority from you Manager to continue as a First Aider you will need to complete the initial 3 day training course. This can be booked via the training booking system under the category ‘First Aid’.
Yes, you are required to bring a copy of your current First Aid certificate to the training.
All “First Aid at Work” Trained First Aiders will be paid an annual remuneration from the Department / College with the December payroll.
Please be aware that if you have not arranged your training via the Occupational Health booking system you will need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org Occupational Health to update your training details as it may cause a delay with your payment.
