Annual Development Review (ADR)

Realising Your Potential Approach

The Realising Your Potential Approach clarifies the behaviours we expect all staff from Professional Support Services, including those within Colleges, Faculties and Academic, departments to demonstrate. The Approach focusses on the “how” tasks are achieved rather than the “what” our staff are required to do.

This Approach is embedded into recruitment, induction and the Annual Development Review.

The Realising Your Potential Approach helps support ADR discussions by providing an opportunity to discuss the behaviours that underpin performance and provides a basis for Continuing Professional Development and training.

As part of preparation for the ADR, a personal self-reflection tool should be used to reflect on how you have demonstrated the behavioural aspects that are pertinent to your role. The tool will also help you identify any areas for development.
