The ADR process involves identifying appropriate reviewers; planning and arranging the review discussions; a constructive discussion between the reviewer and the reviewee; completing the appropriate form following the discussion; and distributing the form to the relevant manager/director.
The senior management team of the department have the opportunity to look at all the forms and to distill out the key development needs, success stories and challenges.
It is important that there is a feedback mechanism in place where the reviewee's development plan and objectives are discussed throughout the year.
The ADR process needs to take in to account the relevant departmental strategies.
