Postgraduates living in college accommdation can either be part-catered ( catered during undergraduate term-time only and self catered during ) or self-catered.
Dietary requirements can be met for vegan, vegetarian and other special diets . Please contact us to enquire.
For those students who are part catered, meals are held in our beautiful dining hall. Our dining hall can seat 256 (16 tables of 16) and has an adjoining servery where catering is provided in term time for up to 450 students and staff per meal per day.
Formal dinners are organised at least twice a term by the Junior Common Room, with up to 10 Formals available per term. Usually the MCR is given a table to which they can invite their members. Special dietary requirements can normally be accommodated at formal meals. A vegetarian option is also available, as is a choice between red wine, white wine or non-alcoholic alternative. Student's with special dietary requirements are encouraged to meet with the Head Chef at the beginning of the Michaelmas Term to discuss their needs.
Self Catering Facilities
There are various parts of College which are suitable for those students who wish to self cater, all self catering (or part catered) students have access to kitchen & dining faclities. Cupboard, fridge and freezer space is also allocated.
Self-catering students may, however, take meals in College on either a regular or an occasional basis; simply purchase a meal ticket at Reception.
