All Livers Out should manage their waste and recycling responsibly. Please consult the website of your local council to ensure that you know about waste and recycling collections in your area.
For residents in Durham: information on collection days can be found in the ‘My Durham’ section on the Durham County Council website and further information can be found at www.durham.gov.uk/whatgoeswhere or you can contact 03000 261 000.
Following bin collection day changes on 10th October 2016 on some streets in Durham City please be aware of when and where you should put out your bins. Details for streets affected by these changes are here.
For residents in Stockton: information on collection days and further information can be found on the Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council website here.
If your property does not have the external bins required, please liaise with your landlord or contact your local Council (there is usually a cost from the Council to replace missing bins):
- For residents in Durham: Request a new recycling bin, bag or box at http://www.durham.gov.uk/article/1915/Ask-for-a-new-bin or by phoning customer services on 03000 261 000. There is normally a cost to replace missing bins.
- For residents in Stockton: Request a new recycling bin by contacting the Care for your Area team by emailing email@example.com or phoning 01642 391959.

Durham County Council - Student Life app
Durham County Council has developed the Student Life app to welcome students to the city, by giving access to a range of information about living in Durham at your fingertips.
The app gives you help and advice on a wide range of issues from staying safe and health and wellbeing, to handy guides on recycling and rubbish collection. Students can access this information anywhere 24 hours a day.
