Lecturer in Human Geography - Ref: 3194

The Geography Department seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Human Geography from 1st September 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic teacher and researcher undertaking work of an internationally excellent standard in terms of originality, significance and rigour which will contribute to the development and consolidation of research and/or policy agendas. The successful candidate will join the largest UK geography department that has been ranked equal top in the last four Research Assessment Exercises, and in RAE2008 produced the highest volume of world leading (4*), internationally excellent (3*) and overall international quality research of any geography programme in the country. The Department was ranked 3rd in the Times Newspaper Good University Guide in both 2008 and 2009 and has been ranked in the top six geography programmes in the Guardian University Guide every year since 2006.

Salary: From £29,704
