NASA - Research opportunities in space and earth science: advanced component technology program

(11 March 2005)

The Nasa Science Mission Directorate invites applications for its advanced component technology program under its research opportunities in space and earth science announcement. The objectives of the ACT program are to research, develop, and demonstrate component and subsystem level technology developments that:

•reduce the risk, cost, size, and development time for ESSD observing instrument and platforms;

•enable new ESSD observation measurements.

Priority for selection is given to those proposals that most clearly demonstrate the potential for making significant contributions in these component and subsystem technology areas:

•S3C measurements;

•S3C remote sensing instrumentation;

•active microwave antennas for earth science instruments;

•passive microwave antennas for earth science instruments;

•active electronics for earth science instruments;

•passive electronics for earth science instruments.
