Teaching Fellow in Sea level Science and Physical Geography - Ref:1912

The Department of Geography at Durham University seeks to appoint a Teaching Fellow (Grade 7) in Sea Level Science and Physical Geography for a fixed 12 month term (September 2016 to August 2017). You will join a department committed to research excellence, being ranked first for research power in REF2014, and teaching excellence, being second in the Complete University Guide and fourth in the Guardian Guides 2016. The person appointed will contribute to existing modules, developing new materials and providing advice and guidance on student research related to sea level and climate science.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition to their teaching, the successful candidate will perform departmental administrative tasks commensurate with their grade. The successful candidate will be given opportunities for career development and to maintain their research.
