Department of Engineering receives Athena SWAN Bronze award

Julie Morgan Dodds Technical Officer and Deputy Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee in the Department of Engineering was pleased to accept the award on behalf of the department at the 2019 Athena SWAN Awards Ceremony in York.

Department of Engineering was delighted to achieve the Athena Swan Bronze Award, which recognises our commitment to advancing women's careers in academia, progressing our students into academia and improving our work environment for all staff. Julie Morgan Dodds Technical Officer and Deputy Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee in the Department of Engineering was pleased to accept the award on behalf of the department at the 2019 Athena SWAN Awards Ceremony in York.
Athena SWAN is a charter established and managed by the UK Equality Challenge Unit in 2005 that recognises and celebrates good practices in higher education and research institutions towards the advancement of gender equality: representation, progression and success for all.
