Speed Dating Event
Tuesday 11th June, 2013. 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Grey College, Holgate Room, Durham University, South Road, Durham, DH1 3LG
The aim of the speed dating event is for representatives from community groups and organisations to meet postgraduate researchers and academic staff from across the University to find out more about each other and explore possibilities for collaborative research on any topic.
It is an informal event, fuelled by scones, tea and coffee, simply for people to find out each other's work and explore if there are any potential research synergies.
To register for this event please email: email@example.com
The room is laid out with tables around which people circulate at regular intervals in order to get to know new people. Everyone is allowed five minutes at each ‘stop’, after which you are expected to move on or continue further discussions about potential research links around a side table loaded with scones, tea and coffee (to fuel the interactions).
If you would like more information or have any access requirements, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org This event is run in partnership with the Centre for Social Justice and Community Action at Durham University.
This event is support by an AHRC Collaborative Skills Development grant and a Centre for Academic Research Development (CARD) events and conference grant, Durham University.
The meeting will take place in the Holgate Room, Grey College. It is about 30 minutes walk from the city centre. The postcode is DH1 3LG. College Phone Number: 0191 334 5900.
