A research project of the School of Education.

The project is funded by the following grant.

  • Iaa-training Female Stem Teachers In Rural And Deprived Areas Of Ethiopia (£9150.00 from ESRC)

The project will recruit sixty female teachers from rural Ethiopia to an in-service training in physics education. The training is part of an ESRC funded research project (ES/M005240/1; RF230087) carried out in collaboration with Addis Ababa University, educational authorities in three Ethiopian regions and six Colleges of Teacher Education.

CTE lectures will deliver the training and researchers from AAU and DU will provide training material and do quality assurance. The female teachers add to a sample recruited for the original research project and offer opportunities to expand the research.
