Durham University Service for Students with Disabilities

Disability Awareness Training

Currently, DUSSD is not able to offer a tailored Disability Awareness training programme.

However, both the university's Academic Staff Development Office and Human Resources Training & Development Team offer training and workshops on a variety of topics, including responding to diversity.

Staff may find the following on-line resources helpful:

  • There is a useful Disability Awareness booklet, produced by Lorna Hibbert for Library staff.
  • The DEMOS Project (Online Materials for Staff Disability Awareness).
