College and accommodation
Durham University is a collegiate university, so all full-time students are members of a college as well as an academic department. In some cases, the choice of college by a disabled applicant should be considered as carefully as the choice of subjects to study. Consideration should be given to location, facilities such as parking and the particular type of environment offered.
The diverse nature and history of the colleges means each college building is very different. When considering which college to apply to, and your accommodation needs, you must contact the college at the earliest opportunity to discuss any specific requirements.
