Mamtimyn Sunuodula's research investigates how multilingual practices, language policies and identities are interrelated. He is fluent in Chinese, Central Asian Turkic languages (Uyghur, Uzbek, Kazak) and has reading knowledge of Arabic, Japanese, Russian and Turkish.
