Biography

Dr Alishya Dhir is a postdoctoral research associate based in the Centre for Research into Violence and Abuse (CRiVA) in the Department of Sociology. Alishya's PhD is titled 'Understanding Youth Image-Based Sexual Abuse: The Role of Context and Discretion'. She has also carried out research on male victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence at music festivals and policing more widely. Alishya's research interests include, image-based sexual abuse, policing, decolonisation, intersectionality, sexual violence and domestic abuse.
