Biography

Personal Webpage

I am currently a PhD student on the Durham Doctoral Studentship scheme. Previously I was an undergraduate at Indiana University, where I studied linguistics.

My current research focuses on establishing a philosophical discourse around the concept of listening to people: what it means to listen to someone, the moral status of listening behaviour as instance of how people treat each other, the relationship between (non)listening behaviour and silencing, and the social and political relationships which structure listening and communicative behaviour more generally.

I currently teach on the first year Ethics and Values module. I am a resident tutor and a pastoral tutor at St John's College, where I am also the Secretary of the Senior Common Room.
