Biography

Aissa Ikhlef has been with the Department of Engineering at Durham University, UK, since September 2016, where he is now an Associate Professor. He received Ph.D. degrees in Signal Processing and Telecommunications from the University of Rennes 1, France, in 2008, respectively. From 2008 to 2010 he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Communication and Remote Sensing Laboratory at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. He was a visiting Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, Canada, from August to November 2009. From 2010 to 2013 he was with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineeirng, University of British Columbia, Canada, as a Postdoctoral Fellow. From 2013 to 2014 he was with Toshiba Research Europe Limited, UK, as a Senior Research Engineer. From 2014 to 2016 he was a Lecturer with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Newcastle University, UK. His current research interests include the application of machine learning in wireless communications, massive MIMO, cloud radio access netwroks (CRANs), and physical layer security.
