Staff profile

Lucy joined the Department of Sport & Exercise Sciences and the Department of Sociology in November 2019 as Senior Research Administrator, offering support to REF activities, recruitment and event organisation. This involves working closely with the Director of Research, Director of Postgraduate Research, Department Manager, Chair of Ethics, along with being secretary to the Research Committee and Ethics Committee. As of April 2023, Lucy now works full time in the Department of Sociology.

Prior to this, Lucy spent ten years working in the Modern Languages and Cultures department. This included working as the Research Grant Administrator supporting the Open World Research Initiative project, and working within the Learning and Teaching team, responsible for postgraduate admissions along with students undertaking a year abroad. During this time Lucy achieved a First Class BA (Hons) in Business Studies.
