Biography

Profile
The key aspect of Graham's work is the implementation and development of full economic costing across the University's activities. He also acts as Divisional Accountant for the Finance & Estates Division, and has managerial responsibility for both the Research Grant Claims and the Regional Funding Teams. Other areas of responsibility include preparation for the University's Transaparent Approach to Costing (TRAC), HEFCE return, development of the Contribution Model and provision of training on financial matters. Graham is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified in 1993, and entering the Fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2004. He joined the University in 2002 from the regional development agency, ONE Northeast, and has also worked as Bursar in secondary and adult education, for the Funding Agency for Schools, the NHS and in a private accountancy practice.
