Staff profile

Steven is the College Administration Coordinator (Flexible Deployment) in the PVC Colleges & Student Experience Office and is responsible for providing administration assistance within the Colleges Division and supporting the delivery of an outstanding student experience. He assists with the admissions process, the delivery of the development programmes, well-being programmes, and social and scholarly events. He most recently worked as the founding College Administration Co-Ordinator at South College and in administration for the Life of Breath project at the Institute for Medical Humanities at Durham University.

He holds a PhD in English Literature in the field of Literary Theory from Durham University, a MA in Critical Culture and Theory (English Studies) from the University of Leeds, and a BA in English from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Prior to studying and working in higher education Steven was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, serving in both the Marine Corps Security Forces and the Infantry.
