Responsibilities within department
To provide Technical support to Teaching Laboratories and Research groups.
Qualifications
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
Personal Statement
I joined Durham University in 2011, as a Modern Apprentice within the Mechanical Workshop of the Department of Physics.
I became a fully qualified Technician in 2015, after a period of training and day release study. I am currently in my final year of studying a Mechanical Engineering BEng (Hons) degree, day release.
In 2019, I changed roles within the Department, moving from Mechanical Engineering Services, to the Level 2 Teaching Laboratories as a Teaching and Research Laboratory Technician.
