Durham Book Festival Fringe

(8 October 2020)

Durham Cathedral and Sacristy Press (Durham's only mainstream publisher) are co-hosting three live-streamed author events as part of the Durham Book Festival Fringe. They are free to attend. Subjects include politics, climate crisis, religion and historical fiction. These free events will be live-streamed on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Visit the web page to find out more.

Simon Hewitt will ask if Marxism and Christianity are really as incompatible as some people think (Monday 12 October at 6.30pm).

Novelist Katharine Tiernan will be launching her brand new book and talking about the life (and death) of the North East’s best-loved saint, Cuthbert of Lindisfarne (Wednesday 14 October at 6.30pm).

Frances Ward and Jenny Wilson discuss the climate emergency and what it is like to live with eco-anxiety (Friday 16 October at 6.30pm).
