Imagining Better Education Conference 2020

(27 February 2020)

The third annual Imagining Better Education conference takes place from 9 - 10 July 2020. It is free and open to all with an interest in education across the University. Keynotes from Prof Vikki Boliver and Prof Christos Tsinopoulos and academic and researcher development workshops will feature along with a range of student presentations. We look forward to a great conference and hopefully seeing staff and students there!

Now in its third year, the free two day Imagining Better Education conference is run by postgraduate students at Durham University School of Education. This event is also supported by the NINEDTP Doctoral Training Partnership, and is open to all students at Durham University and to all with an interest in education across the partnership. We encourage students from all disciplines to attend and to submit abstracts to present.

Keynote speakers

  • Prof Vikki Boliver, Department of Sociology
  • Prof Christos Tsinopoulos, Durham University Business School

The programme will also include presentations in a range of formats and academic and research development sessions in addition to student presentations.

Free one and two day tickets (including lunch) are now available at https://tinyurl.com/rg7zcuw.

The call for proposals for student presentations is now open and will close on 20 April. Email queries and abstracts can be sent to imaginingbetter.education@durham.ac.uk.

You can follow the conference Twitter feed for updates @ImagineBetterEd.

We would ask that attendees are able to attend the full day / two days in order to support students who are presenting and to get the most out of the event - the programme is being arranged with this in mind.
