The Fifth Annual Early Career Researcher (ECR) Conference Hosted by The Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing 17 June 2020
(27 February 2020)
Call for abstracts now open
While many people differ on what constitutes ‘the good life’, it is generally agreed that health and a general feeling of wellbeing are paramount. With this said the ways in which health and wellbeing can be maintained and improved are varied. At the Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing we are interested in gathering mathematicians, scientists, anthropologists, medical professionals, theologians, historians, linguists, sociologists and all researchers interested in the applications of their research to any topic regarding health and general wellbeing.
If this sounds interesting to you, the Wolfson Early Career Researcher Committee invites you all to take part in the Fifth Annual Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing’s Early Career Researcher Conference taking place at Durham University on 17 June 2020. We invite all researchers, including those whose research is not directly related to health and well-being, to give a presentation of their research to a general audience and explain how their work could help maintain or improve health and wellbeing.
The Wolfson Early Career Researcher committee is constituted by PhD students and postdocs in their early career and focus on nurturing an early career research (ECR) community in Durham across all departments. The conference aims to showcase the wide range of research at Durham University and promote interdisciplinary work amongst early career researchers. The conference will include poster sessions and talks, where participants have the opportunity to engage with the wider academic audience across Durham University.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 3 April 2020, 500 words (max). Please register to attend here and email your abstract to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please state if you wish to make an oral or poster presentation.
We look forward to welcoming you to the conference and learning about your work.
There will be a prize for best Oral and Poster presentations!
