Sir Thomas Allen: Talk and Masterclass

(7 November 2019)

Join Durham Opera Appreciation Society as we present our first professional session, a chance to meet and hear from the University Chancellor Sir Thomas Allen. This will take place on Monday 18 November 5-6.30pm at Collingwood College.

Sir Thomas Allen will also be holding a masterclass as part of the event. For the chance to sing in this, please email j.r.lawrence@durham.ac.uk detailing your repertoire, your vocal experience, and why you would like to sing.

We are delighted to welcome him and invite you all to come and hear from this inspirational operatic figure. This event is open to everyone and completely free of charge but you must book a place via this link if you want to attend as part of the audience.

Sir Thomas Allen is widely admired in the opera world for his voice, the versatility of his repertoire, and his acting. Because of this, many regard him as one of the best lyric baritones of the late 20th century.
