Green Ambitions; A public Talk from Boris Palmer, Mayor of Tübingen

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the civic twinning of Durham and Tübingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. As part of these anniversary celebrations the Mayor of Tübingen, Boris Palmer, will deliver a talk titled 'Greening the City' on Saturday 16 November at 11 am in the Ustinov room in Van Mildert College. Free entry.
A member of the Green Party, Boris Palmer will share his ambitions on becoming Germany's first carbon neutral city by 2030. Boris has been passionate about his plans from the day he came into office, even replacing his official car for an official bicycle.
Come to the talk to hear about his radical policies to achieving carbon-neutral, such as his levy on on-street parking to pay for free public transport for the city's residents and other policies due to be debated by the new council.
Saturday 16 November at 11 am in the Ustinov room in Van Mildert College. Free admission.
