Experiences of Depression: Philosophical Perspectives

Monday 4, 11, 18 and 25 November, 7 - 8.30 pm, in the Teaching and Learning Centre Room 117. A collaboration between the Department of Philosophy and the Counselling Service, this short course of four weekly evening sessions will present findings for discussion from a major academic study of the lived experience of depression. Topics will include changes to emotions and moods, the bodily aspects of depression, changes to interpersonal relations and difficulties performing everyday tasks.
This course will be of interest to anyone with a lived experience of depression, or with experiences in their family or friendships groups, or for those with an interest in philosophy and/or clinical psychology.
