The Successful Researcher Escape Room

The Durham Centre for Academic Development, in collaboration with the Oriental Museum, invites Postgraduate Researchers to take part in the Successful Researcher Escape Room Challenge.

This challenge requires PGRs to devise an Escape Room activity to explore the attributes of a successful researcher. In the process of undertaking this activity, the participants will gain a greater understanding and develop a range of skills including:

- Creative thinking;

- Logical thinking;

- Collaborative and team work skills;

- Persistence;

- Puzzle design;

- Developing narrative;

- Presentation skills.

The output from this project will be the production of an escape room activity suitable for engaging a range of academics participating in the Research Project Leadership (RPL) programme.
