As we come to the end of 2019 and enter into a new decade the debate of social class still continues to revolve. In the 1980s the Thatcher Government wanted a 'home owning democracy' that did not include the concept of structural class inequality - 1990s and early 2000s New Labour thought 'We are middle class now' by 2010 we had transgressed into the political discourse of 'Broken Britain' a way of talking about class but without acknowledging an unfair and unequal system. As we go into 2020 'The British class system' still needs focus - How is class manifesting itself as we move into the next decade.
