Call out for Artwork
(27 April 2018)
This is a call-out for artwork by you, our Durham student body, on the theme of women’s self-representation! We are a group of Masters students on the Visual Culture programme, looking for art by students to show at our exhibition, Women, Art, Visibility which will happen on 11 June, followed by a workshop on 12 June. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any submissions, before 18 May. If your file is too big, send a sample image and tell us about the work and we will find another route for you to get the work to us.
Your art could be any media – drawing, painting, photography, film, we just want to show a breadth of work that represents the Durham Student take on female self-representation and experience. The work will be exhibited in the form of a slideshow, at the exhibition, to compliment/contrast with work from the Durham art collection. We’re hoping for a varied mix of art to be submitted so if you have drawings, paintings, photographs, short film clips, and any other form of digital media that could be displayed in our exhibition on a slideshow send them over to us, with a title for your piece, and we’ll get back in touch with you!
We will be posting your work to an Instagram account in advance of the exhibition, so if you’d like your work tagged send us your handle, or if you have an art blog/website to go with it you can send us that too!
Women, Art, Visibility is part of Durham Arts Festival, 4 – 17 June 2018.
