Participants Wanted for Online Psychology Survey
(19 May 2017)
It is suggested that factors that enhance students’ ability to adapt well to stressful events and new environments such as the level of support, are important for young people dealing with novel demands. The lack of receiving such factors appears to have enduring effects on students’ ability to have a successful university experience. I aim to investigate the specific factors contributing to students’ resilience and that which therefore influence the way students adapt to university. The survey therefore includes for example questions about how you think about the future (positive, negative), and sources of support such as parents, University, and friends. I hope this will aid Durham University to improve its services for students.
Please click on the link below to take part. This should take no more than 20 minutes of your time. Your participation is highly valued. To thank you for your time in completing the survey, you will be entered into a prize draw to win one of five £20 Amazon vouchers, and Psychology students will receive 20 minutes of participant pool time for their participation. You may choose not to provide your email address, although this is required for entry into the prize draw and recording participant pool time. Please be reassured that your email address will be stored separately from your responses to the remainder of the survey and that these will remain completely anonymous.
If the following message appeared at the end of the survey (sorry we could not find this survey) don't worry your answers have been reported. Also, if you are NOT a psychology student please contact the researcher on his email (firstname.lastname@example.org) so you can be entered into a prize draw.
