Call for participants! Psychological studies
(5 May 2017)
The Durham Psychology Department is looking for participants to take part in new studies.
1. Cognitive performance, intrusive thoughts and unusual experiences
This study is looking at the associations between participants' performance on four tasks (three memory tasks and one auditory task) and how often they report intrusive thoughts and/or unusual experiences.
The study takes around 75-90 minutes to complete.
2. Personality Impressions and unusual experiences.
We are looking for participants to take part in an online experiment investigating the ability to form personality impressions from listening to other peoples’ voices. You will be required to listen to voice recordings and rate them on different personality characteristics. You will also be asked to answer questions about unusual experiences and imagery abilities.
Please follow this link to take part
The study takes around 20-30 minutes to complete.
Please note that for the experiment to run properly, you need to open it in either Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. You will also need headphones to take part.
Participants' first language must be English. In addition, participants must have no hearing problems, no history of neurological problems (e.g., epilepsy or meningitis), and no history of serious head injury.
If you would like to book in a testing session, please contact Dr Kaja MItrenga (firstname.lastname@example.org).
