Module design sessions for 2021-22
(28 May 2021)
Thinking about what your modules will look like next academic year? The Durham Centre for Academic Development (DCAD) are now offering workshops and one-to-one sessions to help module leaders and teams consider the shape of next year's teaching in light of the move to Learn Ultra and ongoing pandemic considerations. Please read on for further details.
The introduction of a new VLE (Blackboard Learn Ultra) and the continued necessity to provide highly flexible teaching will require many academics to rethink the learning design of their modules. In addition to a wide range of training and support for Learn Ultra, DCAD are providing a suite of learning design sessions:
- One-to-one advice sessions can be booked from now until the end of September: Book a 1:1 session
- Workshops where individuals can work through a more structured pathway to redesigning their modules will start at the end of June, and can be booked via the Training Course Booking System.
- Departments can also arrange bespoke workshops for their modules and programmes by contacting their Digital Education Consultants.
- Starting in July, module leaders or teams who have already been working on their modules can also request feedback on the design: Book an informal module review.
