All staff training announcement - sign up now

(21 May 2021)

Your students or colleagues may disclose sexual misconduct and violence to you. Do you know what to do? You are welcome and encouraged to attend training to learn more about your role and responsibilities under the Sexual Misconduct and Violence Policy that applies to staff and students and covers forms of misconduct such as sexual harassment, rape, sexual assault, stalking, domestic abuse, online sexual harassment and more. We want to help equip you to respond and help your students or colleagues access the right people within the University and community who can support.

We offer 30-minute policy briefings and 2-hour awareness and disclosure sessions for all staff. These courses are available once a week until August and delivered on different days and times each week to give everyone the opportunity to attend. In addition, we have more in-depth courses that focus on domestic abuse and stalking and supporting students and staff beyond a disclosure. All SMV training is currently delivered via Zoom. You can book onto a course via the Oracle Learn system. Log on to Oracle to access your profile, click on ‘Learning’ and then search ‘SMV’ in the learning catalogue search box to find a session that is convenient for you.
